A must if you have kids!

Nice sandy beach, very kid friendly.
Ideal spot for paddle boarding or kayaking with pristine turquoise water! There is a great playground for kids and picnic areas. This is our favorite beach to visit.
Great beach, large green space to run, play ball/frisbee, picnic areas and a playground.
Goes from Kelowna to Vernon, 52km mostly gravel. In Lake Country, you can catch it at Woodsdale and Oyama Road by Wood Lake (gravel path).

Visit Pane Vino along the way for some Italian pizza!
Many trails are available but the Apex Trail will get your heart pumping and give you the most stunning views of the Kelowna area. Paul’s Tomb trail is also stunning (and kid friendly). This trail gets crowded, so we like to do it early and finish it off with a coffee at Sprout Bread nearby. Their fresh sourdough is worth the stop also. At the base of this mountain, the beer scene has exploded in the past few years; you can easily do a self-guided walking beer tour. Our favorites include the Welton Arms, Jacknife Brewing (great pizza!), Rustic Reel (GF options), and Red Bird for their live music.
A short 10-minute drive will get you to The Lakes residential area. If you drive to the very end of the community, you can begin many trails there. The Spion Kop Summit offers remarkable views of Wood Lake and Okanagan Lake.

Bring lawn chairs and warm clothes. This is a must-do! Grab some pizza from Jim’s Place in Vernon if you need dinner.
